Memories of you

Blanketed by the cover provided by stars And the warmth of you next to me in my arms The smell of your hair And the taste of your kiss My heart without you knows no bliss If only it had been a different time And my heart could have spoken a different line Lovesick lullabies Of a moment passed by I hated the last time we said goodbye I would have been fine with just one night But time without youis far fromright Dreaming all day of The time that we had spent An angel like you was heaven sent I’ll never forget the touch of your skin Or never seeing your face again But in that moment That we said goodbye I left a heart with you that will never die How is it possible to have fallen so fast And to hold on to a night that couldn’t last But I’ll see you in dreams And I’ll hear you in songs You may never know where your heart belongs As all good things must come to an end I still search for words that must transcend Neither hell nor high water Can take this from me Memories of you and what ceases to be
