Memoryfall

It is intended as a song. Verse 1: Inadvertently, I stumbled On an old ragged photo album, Slightly bent around the corners, In the dusted velvet wrap. Mildly interested, I took it, And, before I even knew it, All my memories like foliage Scattered around my lap. Refrain: Memoryfall, memoryfall, Swirling and roiling inside my mind. I watch each leaf slowly dissolve, Carried away by the winds of time. Verse 2: As I kept the pages turning: All - a palette of my journey, Every photo is a moment That defined a bit of me; I relived my life with pleasure, Relishing my new-found treasure Holding answers to a puzzle Of whom I turned out to be. Refrain: Memoryfall, memoryfall, Swirling and roiling inside my mind. I watch each leaf slowly dissolve, Carried away by the winds of time.
