MICHELLE
MICHELLE Your Raven locks fall around your face They curl into a silky frame. Your eyes are bright and show your grace Within them burns a bright brown flame. You patter around, and we watch you play A smile creeps across my face We might just have a tea party, And then we could run a fun race Your infant doll is real to you You change her clothing everyday In pretty dress of baby blue You swaddle her to gently lay. You love to dance in lacy sox With pink tutu all a fluff You go to your room and get a box, To pull out all kinds of funny stuff. Ribbons, beads, and shiny rocks Your big sister gave to you. Old candy and bells, and colored blocks, Treasures that give you something to do. You’d rather play in a cardboard box Than to play with something new Freea, you’re dog, licks you curly locks You hug her and then say “shoo”. You love to feel the wind in your hair The playhouse is where you reside The pool is great to splash and snare, Rays of the sun, and slip down the slide. We love to see your glowing face Your laugh is like the sweetest song There’s perfect joy in your embrace My heart aches for, we can’t stay long Happy Birthday to my granddaughter “Michelle” – age three

I am a Registered Nurse.. I have loved writing for as far back as I can remember. My first writing was experienced by drawing as a child. In 7th grade I wrote a poem about Abraham Lincoln that won an award and was read on the radio in Salt Lake City....
