Midnight

Well you know what they say About the old phrase Today is history Tomorrow is a mystery I enjoyed the events of today overall But I wonder what awaits me tomorrow Hopefully a day that is free of violence And an opportunity to gain an alliance I hate trying to predict what's unpredictable Because to the basic principles of life it is not applicable Tomorrow could behold a wonderful gift Which could possibly brighten the life that you live But you know what they say It's better to give than to receive But unfortunately that's something Of which I never believed Midnight is such a special hour Which represents the dawn of a new day And it gives you the ability To start on a clean slate Because you never know what awaits you At the end of the day Because it carries on into tomorrow Of which you are not promised Which is what makes midnight so special
