Midnight Affair
She’s seen his face so many times before Arriving at the midnight hour Awaking her from sleep To hold his love, his gentle flower. The night, it holds the pale moon light Cascading over her silken hair While embrace interlocked In this incandescent affair. He leaves his love torn home At night when the family sleeps To embrace his true love While his forlorn wife weeps The candle flame burns brightly casting a glow over bodies in motion Where two lonely souls are now one As sand touches water at the ocean.
