might each petal...
Might each petal in this dozen bring to thee the thought of loving Give to thee a spark that wasn’t in my love before Wonder do is sit here saddened in the dark so deeply maddened At what happened for our love’s no more In the vastness that surrounds me in this sea my soul is drowning For its waves keep on pounding pounding on my shore In the dark of night I cry tears my eyes do not deny Might someday this sadness dry might I cry no more Every moment stirring passion purely potent in attracting To my soul the love I’m lacking for this love is yours Thus I’m waiting, wanting, hating all the thoughts I’m contemplating Dreary visions of love fading till this loves no more Once your breath, I too was breathing in your chest deeply heaving Till this death had left me grieving, for your loves no more Known had I that you were leaving that your love was so deceiving That you had my soul believing love lasts evermore Now I’m bleeding, begging, pleading For your sins to stop entreating For my hearts no longer beating Beating anymore
