11 November 2003 He shone for me As I did for He. A love at first touch, We lingered, we felt Until the coming of the Dove. The days we’d be The nights we’d see A world fused in love The shiver would settle in Before the coming of the Dove. Such kindness would be unknown Yet His – without self-regard – was shown Fearing nothing, never wanting For knew He did The Dove would come-a-knocking. I shone for He Our brief eternity Secreted in the dying light Cemented in the crimson night There in my arms The Dove took flight.
