Mio Cuore

This poem is my first crack at writing in a foreign language. One of my aspirations is to read Dante Alighieri's 'La Divina Commedia' in its original tongue, Italian. Please feel free to critique this work for its linguistic as well as its poetic structure. (English) My heart is a raging fist: itsthunder inside my chest, a strange terrain so very far. It's sunny - my heart swells like a new day, the sun-burned flesh peels away which lightning peals my fever raised. On the artist's canvas, the paintbrushes' salute pulsating my hearts freedom. A lighthouse guiding me to safety.
