Misery Of An Alcoholic
Once upon a time There was a man named Stan And it seemed like alcohol Was his only best friend He always drinks One six pack a day He was happy as long as things Stayed that way Stan has such a Very depressing life To the point that sometimes He just wants to stab himself with a knife Oh how the taste of alcohol Soothes his nerves It makes him so calm that He can’t even express it in words Alcohol helps Stan To escape from every day life And to relieve him of the stress From his constantly nagging wife What has caused him to become this way He will not say But for a major turn around in his life He always prays He wants his life To amount to something But right now he feels Like he will amount to nothing His true calling He has not yet discovered However he will continue to search One way or the other By Glenn McCrary © 2009 Glenn McCrary (All rights reserved)
