Moments
There are moments My blood burned my spirit Blacker than my soul The unseen side of my skin Scorched There are moments Given the chance I could kneel On his neck In prayer Moments I feel So deeply cut Off from you And what you called Your love for me Moments your face Is on the neck I pray on And still can’t move Maybe I’m too light for you to even notice And moments my tears cool just enough to see my face and yours on the same neck In some timeless eternity
