Moments Quick Passing

You know I can still see you lying there, Hogging both sides of the bed. And I can still feel the passion, Feel your nails on the back of my head. I can still feel your arms around me, Your head resting on my shoulder. And I can still hear your hopeful voice, Talking of when we get older. I remember you looking after me, When i was bedridden, too sick to move. And I remember holding your hair back, When you were drunk and needed to spew. I remember the dance that we used to do, To the song at the end of the show. And I remember playing beach cricket with you, And learning that you couldn't throw. I can still see your morning face, I remember you trying to hide it. I remember coming home drunk from the pub, And blatantly trying to deny it. I remember the face that you used to have, The one that said you were in love. And I remember the first time I saw that face, The one that said "I've given up." I remember the fights, I remember the tears, I remember not wanting to see you. I remember the thought, first time it appeared, That this relationship is no more a breeze through. I can still see your face, when I said those few words, That I thought it was time to just end it. I remember you leaving, hopping into your car, And suddenly time seemed suspended. But you don't know how i feel, every minute I'm awake, All confusion and sadness and guilt. And you don't know I've hated myself all along, For letting our love simply wilt. You can blame it on me, if it helps with the pain, If only for moments quick passing, But know that I'll regret for the rest of my days, Giving up love while it lasted. Hey guys, this is my first post on this website, and the first time that I have let people not involved in the subject matter read a poem of mine. Please feel free to tell me what you think, how I could improve it and my style etc. I'm a musician and lyrics have never been a high point for me so any advice is good advice. thanks
