Moon is Alone Tonight

Moon is Alone Tonight Moon is alone tonight Its face is clear and bright The stars are hidden from sight Veiled by the sun’s fading light; Moon has a steady eye Alone in the silvery blue sky No clouds are drifting by No wisps have wings to fly; Moon is white and cold Like frost that’s young and bold Brilliant like white gold Moon grows full before it grows old; Moon is clear and bright And attracts my wandering sight I’ll stay and watch its silent flight Because, like the Moon, I am alone tonight.
