Morning journey
Metronome pace echoes into the trees; hurry now as time escapes. Broken shards underfoot; unspoken words hang among the dewy cobwebs. Gentle, early light sparkles on exhaled breath. Red leaf full-stop against grey path before. Elderberries drip their entangled store of Summer warmth into the jaws of vicious hounds. And with the sound of the bell bringing reality back I tell her less is more... and as I think of you for the thousandth time I agree more or less...
