You have no crown, you're not fate Just a name inside a book Raining down judgment, sharing hate Reigning over lands you took. Long gone words uttered in care Another empty moment wasted in prayer. You build up castles in glass and gold Over the toiling of the poor, Shouting at bad children "do as you're told" Or end up being the fabled whore. You see how simple it can be To keep the blind on faithful knee. Yet my time is not yours to take It's mine to craft and contemplate, Your walls to break and floors to shake To spill the burdened collection plate.
