Moving on

·Maria

And so, It was time to move on! An era had passed, a lesson learnt, a purpose served. It was not without sadness, or grief - at having to bid farewell. To let go of a part, that had served one so well. But the time had come - for to not move forward would be to move a step behind! And then what purpose, would the tears have served? What lesson , would the hardships have taught? *** But I will keep you safely in my heart, I will dust you off at melancholy moments, I will place you on a shelf, With my most heartfelt treasures. And in the autumn of my days, when the end is nigh and my breath short, As I page through the album of my life … On your page … I will linger for just one moment longer ... I will touch your aura, your essence, I will give you thanks For your purpose, for your lesson - And I promise, I will remember!
