Mr. and Mrs. Frog
How happy the couple was! How endless was their delight! When they danced and danced In the clean and clear Water of the pond, Where they had spent Their Childhood as tadpoles. While playing as adults And dreaming as youths They fell in love so deep, On the black soil and white stones Of those lovely green grounds That surrounded the same pond. Now they stood with pride: Mr. and Mrs. Frog, Under the poster-Save the Frogs! On a small rock, near wooden logs On the bank of that pond, Which has become irregular at some places But still almost round. One day it was sunny, But the mood of Mr. Frog Was little funny! He went to meet his friends In a near-by pond. In the evening, it thundered And heavily rained, to fill The pond, where Mrs. Frog lonely remained, With acids and chemicals Used to kill the pest and weeds From the neighboring fields. The aquatic life was in danger- The yellow fishes and green frogs. By the morning, all were dead Leaving the once white pond Colored with extreme red! Mr. Frog came back, only to See the pond completely dead. Now he searched for his love Whom he found in fragments; Even impossible to hug. He turned numb and never cried, Reached that damned poster and also died
