Music Comes Alive
As music comes alive it kills all forms of concentration. Like all the beauty of God’s creation, it becomes a celebration. Filling the emptiness in my ears it fuses with my brain, Interrupting my fearful thoughts it erases my every pain. Like that little bit of sunshine on a rainy day. Like a burning pillar if light, it helps me find my way. It squeezes my heart to get the blood flowing. When the fire goes out, its coals keep glowing. My problems become as ancient as a fossil, And in that moment anything becomes possible. A voiceless poet becomes a singer on a stage. A rhythmless cripple becomes a dancer in a cage. A tiny speck of dust becomes a paragon of art. Reminding me what life is about, it opens up my heart, Untapping the instinctive beat hidden in my soul. The insanity creeps in and I lose all control. My body moves with the infectious vibe, Like a long last member of an ancestral tribe. Like meditation it opens my minds eye, Reminding me what life is about it opens up my heart. In that moment all the hatred slowly dies And touched my human nature is suddenly realized.
