my cave
During absolute darkness I see the way out from this cave A blinding pinhole of light gives me faith A saving spot of white Bliss gazes into my constricted eyes I know everything will be better on the outside But I don’t want to leave my sunken void In my hollow All sound is concave and empty Feelings are hopeless Behind me I see the deepest black Before me in the whitest of whites; I see my future I know life exists out there But should I turn my back and follow my shadow? With my silhouette stalking me I swallow my fears I follow the white And step into the light
