My Childs Future

A young girl was born 14 years ago, With a promise of a bright future I know. A young family starting from scratch, Little did they know as partners they did not match. Seven years later she stayed with her single mom, An absent father she hardly heard from. She had a brother one year younger than her, And her advice, he would often prefer. Diagnosed with ADD, he went to stay with his dad, Turning into a strapping young lad. They are now staying in a land far, far away, With a promise to see him some other day. We have a new government you see, That has taken their future which will now never be. The new law is Affirmative Action, If your skin is white, sorry, no transaction. This young woman now 14 years old, To have a future worthy of gold, Has to emigrate to a land far, far away, Leaving a mother behind who has to stay.
