My Design
I love you like the early morning birds You are in my heart like the wind in leaves I open my eyes to look and see the sun To know that it would be dim without you As you fill me through the hours of the day I stare at my hands that are full of trees I walk a dusty road and mire about you How you sting me with your aged beauty Like the wound you gave me that never heals You are louder as the years separate us more I think about the women I have loved before I wonder how it is that you enrich my life so From your little hand bag to your cosmetics My friends call garbage that you leave around While I am stuck in awe at how I miss this You gave me my highest highs and lowest lows You showed me how the outside is within me And although I might think myself weak for it I turn and say that it is the divinely feminine To be affected and insecure about what struck me And so with little time left and few words too What will I say to you who seems to be timeless? I would enter myself and stay there but for you To remember both the forlorn and the gay in me To both hold you and call you dear to remind you
