my first poem

This was written in 1967; I was 15 years old; the first poem I wrote on my own (not a mandatory project for a teacher). I think it would be fun for members to post the first piece of poetry each wrote and how old they were when they wrote it. time wind whistles a desolate refrain, large flakes of snow drift against blackened skies. collar turned to the conditions, i walk alone, nowhere to go. i pass along this road amid tall, outspread trees, feet aspire to run, in hopes of an end. faster! still, in a hoary nowhere, besieged by snow shielded trees, fields, fences. numb. seemingly petrified feet, confirmed, still moving. cannot stop, this road never ends. i travel an obscure, conceptual path… time. ©tlp 2010
