My Letter
Dear Society. This is my apology to you. Please forgive me for not conforming the ills of society... I am sorry for the pain I’ve caused by not choosing the paths most traveled by my peers. I am sorry for not taking away the heartbeat of the another heart, and for allowing it to beat another beat, A beat that beats not only for family, but to cause some more damages to an already disgraced society. I am sorry for acting like a child, when all the peers I have left are young innocent n free spirits, That should have been dismantled by the choices that I should have made. I am but one of a handful that has tried to be their own person, That has caused you shame That has disappointed you greatly, I am the one who has been banished from society for making the incorrect choices. Please forgive me, And if you can’t, at least accept the fact that I am different, That I do not cause pain n hardship, That my life is not to serve you, but to create my own identity, To live for the child I carry around in my mind, to at least let him experience what it must be like to live Without a cot made of steal rods n padlocks, to at least know whats it like to not only live in a steal cage but to live in a cage that has no boundaries. You must hate me right now, but I don’t care. You mean nothing to me,
