My Lily
And so I love her That, so hidden, lily of the field I adore her soft elegance And the sweet scent of her presence It is my intoxication My sweetest dreaming peace Thus for I call to her My beckoning, a call for love For I wish to make the one I hold To be forever the woman I so desire And to keep her mine, eternity to stay Mine to protect, and keep close to me Her smell, though it should be foreign I know all too well, too perfectly The soft texture of her skin, and the glistening of her eyes I know her stances when she walks, relaxes, sleeps I know the sweet sound of her voice A sound to soothe my savage beast Her breath is music to me A song so pure a strong Her life is my fire, burning brighter than the sun She is my pulse, my life-giving heartbeat She moves me, with her very silence And shakes me with her words For she is everything it could take To make me drop to my knees, to make this man beg And so I do cry for the need of her Sweet tears to call her perfect name And my words I shall form to dance with hers And one day, take her for my arms to hold
