My Mother

I can feel it pulling me Capturing my heart Drawing me in I feel it in my marrow Calling to my blood As the sabbat begins The moon is my mother She whispers wise words And acts as a guide She is my confidant From her there is nothing I need to hide She pulls the truth from me My mind, mouth, and heart And loves me for me She peels back the layers Takes the weight from my shoulders And sets me free The moon is my Goddess In all her mysterious truth She possesses my heart Full moon, I cast a circle Light a candle, speak to her And from my troubles, depart *Thank you to Miraj for the wonderful prompt! I really enjoyed writing this piece as it was a bit more spiritual for me.*
