My muse

Inadvertently, I've written it in the algol-like style. I guess I read too many of his poems:) My muse comes always uninvited. She captivates my soul, my mind, And, like a spoiled capricious child, Demands attention - undivided. Akin a helpless little rabbit Under the python’s steady gaze, I scribble lyrics in a daze, Until this craft becomes a habit. Derisively, she shakes her hair, And turns away, displeased, aloof. I offer her my poem-proof, But I can’t see her anywhere. She’s flown far from the world of men. Distraught and craving inspiration, I soon forget all my frustration And yearn for her return again.

I was raised in Russia and moved to the States at the tender age of 16. Been writing poetry since I was 11 years old. It is my favorite way of spending time:)
