My Only Gift
I wanted to cry tonight when I heard your diagnosis Irreversible…it.just.is. And the heavy consequence – your pain, your loss. So sharp that it cuts through me, I can only guess that your soul and sanity Must be nothing...empty. And now what? Do we shout to the heavens the injustice? Are we thankful for the things that are in place? I don’t know what to do when hurt papier-mâché’s your mind There simply are no solutions to find: You are Barren. I have only one answer; to offer you my womb. Does that offend you? Would it make you bitter that that which hordes take for granted You must take as charity? But I can do no more so I offer its use to you, if you will have it - Please take it.
