My Paramour.
*PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE READING THE POEM: This is by far my favorite piece of which I have ever written. If you're going to read and comment on this poem, I would appreciate well thought out critique. I have a huge attachment to this piece, and if it is going to be torn apart, I'd like it done properly and with thought and respect. It is posted on my other account, I know, but I would like it on this one, as it's, as mentioned a few times, my favorite. Thank you. *** My Paramour, your Inamorata The flame that kindles in our hearts Not yet lit, but as a martyr Would burn and grieve, And then let us play our parts And should I leave, As the sun dawns above our heads? Yes, your Inamorata will leave, My paramour, I shall Leave these dirty beds Oh! The slew of hours that do drag on Eternity is much to abide, But abide I shall Until eternity is gone
