My Star

One night I walked along the shore and gazed up to the sky to find a star I fancied most and I did so by and by. But a problem came upon my mind, as to "how to get it down?" For the lofty heavens above my head were far from reach I found. I wanted the star, I couldn't reach, so I jumped and grabbed its tail when it squirmed and jerked inside my hand, I knew that I had failed. So I sat down on that sandy beach and cried and cried and cried, then lo and behold, the star I loved came and sat at my side- it told me softly to cry no more and twinkled its eye my way then it said it will be back the next night for soon will be the light of day, so now I have by my side a star I thought too high and I realize the reason it is there, is because its height I tried. So listen, dear people to the story that I teach no matter the distance of your star- its always within your reach, take one step at a time, don't settle for less just continue to climb if you stumble don't stop and lose sight of your goals press on to the top for only on top can we see the whole view can we then have the courage to seek something new. Yes, press on and follow your dream on the road of life and wherever you are may God guide your ways as you reach for your star and may you find always, while He is close by no dream is too lofty, no goal- too high.
