My Star In The Sky
Star dust, imprinted on my knees from when you nuzzled on my bare skin, your touch was the warmth of a golden sun. You walked and walked next to a changing shadow, faithful, forgiving, fervent in your affection. Behind ageing eyes was the white lustre of platinum, a pure soul wrapped in landscapes of luscious blues. Although your muscles began to weaken, your heart remained constant in unconditional love. Then those two words sliced the air. Savage. Silently, I let the tears slide down till I slammed the door and wept and wept. And in the arms that gave me comfort I felt more pain than I’d ever known. As the hand moves on with the changing winds, already your picture begins to fade. But your gentle smile I shall never forget as I watch you shine through my window at night.

I have always loved writing songs but never had much experience with poems, so here I am. I'm open to learning as much as I can so feel free to criticise :)
