My Sweetest Maylie
My Sweetest Maylie I long for my sweet Maylie, Her fairest face to see. With hair as bright as sunlight Eyes blue as summer’s sea… Tiny pink fists like rosebuds, Cheeks fair as springtime’s day. Her scent is so enthralling It just takes my breath away. In a garden full of onions, She is a sure delight. One little pink petunia She’s mercy’s glorious sight. My tired arms ache to hold you Then I’d shower your sweet face With kisses sent from heaven While in my warm embrace. I hope that when you’re older You’ll always feel my love It will be there beside you Every day that you dolive. IlaMae Stucki © 4/28/12 To my newest granddaughter with all my love…

I am a Registered Nurse.. I have loved writing for as far back as I can remember. My first writing was experienced by drawing as a child. In 7th grade I wrote a poem about Abraham Lincoln that won an award and was read on the radio in Salt Lake City....
