My Terza Rima
If eyes could pierce the heart I would be joyfully dead And be carried on Death’s cold cart. For some is living alone they dread Yet love and lust shamefully forsake So shut themselves in stone instead. For safety and secrets do not a life make But jumping over into the raging abyss And leaving a history of life in your wake. For surely your life and love you want they miss And not live purely while none will see Thus grab the sins and join with rapture and kiss. This is no law or rule or shared public decree But set sail your soul and fly your spirit free.
