My Unicorn
Sitting on the green Hill side of life: Low riding fog slowly drifted by, A soft rainy spray set upon my skin, A crow came flying in and took landing in a nearby tree, The smell of pines filled the air... I laid myself down on a bed of four leaved clovers, Smiled and then, at a nice distance, saw some Horses... My brothers came running from the other side of the hill, They jumped me from behind and we laughed while rolling on the grass. As they saw these horses I've just come to notice, they shared with me Thoughts of these ethereal creatures' magic and divinity, But soon afterwards, thoughts of taming them followed and I sighed... "Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose, Nothing ain't worth nothing but it's free..." Upon the moment I spoke these words, my brothers ran to meet these horses. Whilst watching them playing their futile game, I started to dose off into a place further away than dreamland. My eyes were closing slowly... Suddenly upon the very thin edge of this Hill, You were standing, majestically alone from the herd, in royal white, With the sun shining at your backside, your frame burning into my brain. Such an entity to be tamed, never could be... I closed my eyes and this Irish scene turned to you, As I dreamt, My Unicorn...
