My Vengenance

My Vengenance In the darkness I lay Eyes open wide staring into the nothingness Of lonliness and pride Floating on a bed of memories Of what could have been. Your face comes to me from the corners of my mind Smiling, beckoning, calling. Such is a wonderful dream. But, I forfeited your trust Broke you heart - your spirit Threw the very best of you away. Because of my lust I betrayed you And now, vengeance upon myself is here. It is so true and just. I can't ask for forgiveness Maybe another chance - to start anew. You are so wonderfully special I know you would say, Yes.
