My White Girlfriend (part 1)
Join me for tonight’s game says the father Think about your children says the mother -------------- At first, touching her was like breaking the rules But the rules had no jewels that she kept in her womb my hands around her, exposed of their blackness, became hard not to notice our deference, her blue eyes looking deep into my soul or was it my brown eyes that kept her admiring this beautiful poem, Everyone is looking! once again i broke the rules, In my guilt i keep choking yet the softness of her skin keeps me wanting, choosing not to notice, the penetrating stares that haunts my fears. And there i was, shoulders straight and heads up high. I just couldn’t find the right song And no way was i going to dance to sound of a raging guiter the confusion was strong, where i saw a river she saw glitter where she heard a peaceful song, i felt a disturbing anger. We knew right there and then, that love was not enough.
