Never-ending quest, Seeking what’s already ours, Dog chases its tail. From deep within me, It lay dormant until now, Roaring belch escapes. it shatters orbit bludgeons unsuspecting earth, mankind dies - life lives. snows expose blossoms songbirds sing sweet serenades, celebrating life ground soaked deep in frost sparkling-white snow-stuffed blankets, cover my breadcrumbs. a thousand roads of scented pines, love or death, burden of freedom.

My muse can be unseemly and nomadic although she fancies meter and good rhyme, her diligence and output are sporadic, and some may say she’s moving past her prime. At times she’s off consorting with the sages reflecting on existence, as it were, At...
