Need you Take a Drink?
Need you Take a Drink? A desert, A broken, cold, isolated desert. Made up of compassion, Lies and insult. Your goal; to understand, How can a lie be- Compassionate? How can an insult not be compassionate? There is a fly of knowledge, Buzzing by a carcass. HE holds all the answers, While SHE lays dead. Yesterday minds raced, Today they walk. And amidst all the movement. Someone’s making love, Another’s dying. Others are born, And the leftovers are shaped. To the tired, thirsty eye, All this becomes a mirage. Or it is one. To someone like me, Who doesn’t live inside it, It’s a show full of mistakes. When one does not drink, They can not thirst. That is why ignoring physical need, And satisfying spirit. Creates an enlightened creature, Forcing imagination to be fact. May 2007 Sheena Allen
