NEIL YOUNG

As the dawn broke the sky with the morning sun, they were playing an old one by Neil Young. As his pure falsetto, broke the refrain, it made me feel like being born again. ***** It was sounding real good, and it went right through, down to the heart, of my primal soul. and it sounded better than anythingheard as I became baptized, with his holy word. ***** His words, they spoke to me, like something ancient, and on to the future, through quiet revelation. and he saw the world, through the eyes of the new, while seeing through eyes, of the old ones too. ****** His words so simple, but meaning so much. whileplantingsome empathy in the coldest of hearts. He could write a novel usingonly one line, choose just the right words, to change your mind. ****** This was the music, that made its mark, and started a passion that lit the spark… The spark that lit, the songwriter’s word, that laid the foundation, for the light oftheirworld. ****** ~ WordPlaya, 3/29/2013 ~

I enjoy writing and since rediscovering the power of poetry, it has brought me much joy! My favorite poet is Richard Brautigan, and I am a big fan of freestyle poetry, as I find it less limiting and most creative. I also like spoken word poetry. ...
