Neither did say
1994 A blue harmony that stretched out beyond your eyes A welcoming gurgle, a playful spray Her glistening smile, her promise of coolness allured your way. But one small rock and her pace began its rolling rage A growing thunder, a foaming wall She towers above, she engulfs and surrounds until you fall. You plunge deep below where salt stings your eyes, bitter in your mouth An icy gloom, a smothering foe A refreshing dip, is all that you wanted – how was she to know. You turned your back away from her for friends don’t crush, don’t smother She reaches up shore, back and forth each day She drenched him, he caressed – not loved her – neither did say.
