Never Give Up

The emptiness of my life lay all around me, like a desert. Amidst the ruins of wasted years. There was no hope, Only wounds, and scars, and tears. But within this deep and dark black night, I hear the beat of winged flight. On bended knee i look above, And see the rays of infinite love. And that one who was pierced, And nailed to a tree, In all his power, and all his might, And all his majesty. Look, a tear, For the morning light, For the coming of the dawn, And the sun that would never appear. As i take her in my arms, And kiss her sun drenched cheeks, I spread my wings in rapturous flight, And run with the wind. As my heart is filled with joy, And my soul is filled with hope, I find the strength to carry on, I find the will to live.
