Never Too Late
I can't believe I'm asking this So far removed from wedded bliss And longer since I've laid a kiss On anyone but her And I think it would suffice to say Just from looking at my gray That I've forgotten every way To speak my heart's desire Yet something draws me ever near To learn about your life, my dear Though rejection is a buried fear I'd like not to return But seeing as the clock's hit nine And light fades on this life of mine It's far too late to toe the line So will you be my Valentine?

I always wanted to be abstract, but I'm too neat for that. Order, structure, simplicity, succinctness
