Night out
Sounds blast out like a mad person's ravings, people pour in, so they can settle their cravings, the drink of choice is poison with flavour, Everyone secretly hoping for a saviour. The lights blur their eyes, they can't see a thing, glimmering reflections off the things they call 'Bling', the sounds are muffled as friends try to speak, noses are held in the now rising reek. They lose track of time, realise they're alone, throw back the last drop of drink before starting off home, a hand closes sharply onto their shoulder, someone bigger, faster, stronger, older. An alleyway is the scene of the crime, the police arrive now, but are they in time? the crimainal's had his pleasure and won, If only her friends hadn't just gone. I've just been trying to express the feelings of a friend who said he didn't want to go out and when I asked why, he just said "What if I get left on my own and something happens!" So, all opinions welcome, cheers.
