Night Shades
the dungeons of my mind draw me close enticingly, to imprison me behind their impenetrable iron doors. night shades encroach mental floors and walls, daylight bids adieu as the horrors approach wearing their infernal red cloaks. memories with thoughts scream out their sounds with rage, whilst night creatures approach, caution left behind. jackals of the mind scavenge at the fragile seams. wolves old as time howl at the moon as the sage owl screeches like a loon. 2005
