Before being born Men of this world Denied you A place to enter From the vessel Into which you were immaculately conceived That woman’s womb Already claimed Too much space In a body ready To evict you Never was there So innocent a threat as a Love so fierce It could redeem the world And that is a Black woman’s rage for which there is still no room and nobody knows but Jesus
