No Solace (Where Green Meets Black)

21 Aug 2019

·Surue

I worship a god of few words and no warmth No solace is found in its frigid embrace Obscure it watches, turbulent it waits Eternally where green meets black I too desire a remedy I pursue a spirit I cannot describe A perspective accessible only by night A dream from where green meets black Carried on waves of amorphous revulsion Carrion for vultures in the distant sky Wasting away before pitiless eyes Dark brown where in green they lack I no longer yearn for amaranthine bliss I savour the transience as life moves on But not a second goes by that I do not long To be where green meets black
