No stigma
This cloud of shadow covers my head Obscuring the laughter on my face, The cloud's name I'll tell you not Lest you see it as my race. One mistake cannot define me And will not mark me as among the dead, But forgive me for not speaking true And choosing to hide this burden instead. Perhaps love can now be borne in pain Equal shadows of the same affliction, So sad conversion made Us the same, But glad it caused unbiased connection. So maybe I'm not the same as before But my heart still yearns for some devotion, And Your smile and warmth I'll hold close Even if You're far across an ocean.
