Nocturnal Reflections (TRIOLET)

*A triolet is a one stanza poem of eight lines. Its rhyme scheme is ABAAABAB. The first, fourth and seventh lines are identical, as are the second and final lines, thereby making the initial and final couplets identical as well.* I lose myself in darkness of the night, In stoic silence of the sleeping sun. To ruminate my life and mortal plight I lose myself in darkness of the night And watchthe distant worlds emit their light. The stars I see, how many are now gone? I lose myself in darkness of the night, In stoic silence of the sleeping sun.
