Make her, the victim feel blameworthy Courts looking overcrowded, cold and un-fresh Reminded her of where she was assaulted like trash Someone told her every 34 seconds a woman gets raped She was not alone, felt glad for those who have escaped After all the waiting for DNA examinations The verdict was given, she waited for his reaction After the ruling, guilty to the accused She felt free of fear, no longer the abused Time will heal her traumatic undergoing She stood up for herself and others unknowing Ilse Stols
