Not Quite Love
Living in this lie, it's hard to tell what's real We've fooled everybody. Including ourselves The lines have blurred to nothing, and we've painfully become one One big mess we both want out of, but neither one will leave Love is just this game we play to make us feel safe The memories from our happier days distract us from the pain We trade fake smiles and empty conversations for comfort and security You know I'll never hurt you, I know you'll never leave We both care for the other Maybe it's not quite "love" But I guess it's close enough
