Not So Bad

This was written for a friend of mine who is going through a particularly hard time.... Sometimes a good attitude is hard to maintain Trying so hard to work through the pain Things seem to happen that don't really seem fair Check your reaction and choose words with care. Don't burn the bridges you may need to cross To alienate everyone is too big a loss Work on today and don't worry about tomorrow Stay out of the past - it can only bring sorrow Work on yourself and change what you can Figure it out and stick to the plan It might take some time and lots of hard work Beware negativity which will continue to lurk. Give it a glance and walk right on by One of these days it won't catch your eye When you can do this then you will see Maybe it's not "so bad to be me".
