My heart smiles when you touch my lips Nothing is as strong as the gentleness of your kiss At first I had no choice but to refuse your open arms Determining that you were nothing more than another ray of light Trying to lift a wounded heart and make everything seem alright There are some who have tried to be the sun and brighten up my life but instead, you chose to become the moon that shines down on me in my darkest hours I never imagined or better, deserved that we would feel so connected. its absurd But now you are here its easier to accept that this is nothing less Than the reality I once feared Even though there are miles between I feel your warmth on my dying heart. I never thought I could be in so much pain so I’ll count the days when we are still apart
